The logo creation required some good food of thought as they wanted to have a standalone branding icon which can be used separately as an emblem and standalone branding icon along with custom typography for the logo to be used and inscribed as necessary.

They were also looking for some unique, bold yet effective image for their social marketing campaign and thats why their facebook header design was also made keeping in view these requirements.

Logo Design

The emblem was also separated for the social media campaign to be used along with the banner. The whole social media banner was designed to give an impressive, bold yet sharp razer like look and feel.

In this post we will share some of our logo designs for food companies, eateries and restaurants which we have recently completed.

In my last post i wrote about how effectively you can conceptualize and setup your start-up company. This time my focus will be on the marketing side of the things as it constitutes the bare-bones in order to get your business setup, moving and rocking. So to start with, first we should segment some of the core marketing strategies which mostly work for all sort of businesses.

- Online marketing

Statistics say that 80% of the people search on internet before making any purchase decision which means that a powerful online marketing campaign can attract the right audience when a prospect start a search for their desired product or services. There are numerous ways of promotion too like making a website or showing your ads to websites which closely knit with your business. Similarly search engine optimization which is commonly known as SEO and Google adwords marketing are also some of the powerful tools to attract and lure more visitors and potential customers to your website or campaign.

- Social media marketing

Some folks update their status on social websites even before they brush their teeth in the morning, this opens the Pandora box for a strong social media marketing campaign by leveraging platforms such as Facebook, Twitter and Pinterest where you can add attractive, social and useful information to share with other like minded people. Also encouraging them to join your company or group pages can help you make a loyal fan base.

Why not customize your social media page? see more

- Linked in

Linked-in is more like business networking which also serve as your curriculum vitae to those looking for like minded business people. It can also help you establish a business presence which is continuously updated with your business expertise, focus and expansion. The new company linked-in pages can also help you setup company pages with customized logo and header to build brand awareness and highlight your product, services or even conduct recruitment campaigns.

- Word of mouth / Social get-together

Nothing works better then ‘word of mouth’. Its in our nature that we are more inclined towards a product or service which is directly recommended to us by a close friend, family member or even from someone in a social gathering. Also making contacts and pitching the right words can turn a small conversation into a conversion.

- Get a logo

Logo Design is the face of your company, so its important to make it right the first time. This small investment pays off in the long run and your identity is there to remain associated with your company in the years to come. You can also use it for online and offline marketing and to build brand awareness. Using the logo in all of your official correspondence and email signature adds an irreplaceable trust value.

- Promotional printing

No, one can deny the usefulness of promotional gifts. Promotional items are not just limited to exhibitions or trade-shows and if utilized properly it can work a great deal as customers tends to expect freebies and giveaways specially when they’ve worked with you or ordered from you before. So small gifts like fridge magnets, pens and recycled bags can convey the right message without spending a fortune.

- Client follow-ups / After sales relationships

Following up with clients on their user experience and product/service quality is a great way to gain valuable feedback and insight to your business. You can easily do so by making a follow-up call along with a a thank you card posted to them. It also gives customers a comfort level and they are more inclined to refer you to their friends and associates just because of a follow-up interaction.

- PR campaigns

There are many ways to spread the word. An online blog can help you achieve this goal which you can easily setup free of cost. This way you can keep your customers and potential clients updated about the latest happenings and also add valuable content and information related to your business. You can also hire the services of PR firms when launching any special product or services. However its important that the content is something which is of value to end users and this is the key for your PR article to be picked up by major blogs and newspapers.

- Monetizing Coupons

Coupons or discount tags are a great way to lure those who are in the middle of making a decision and need that final push. Watch out for special events and holidays when customer are eager to shop and watchful of those special deals. Sending coupons to existing clients and offering discounts to them for their next order is another great way of passing the benefits to customers and saving your marketing dollar.

- Sponsoring a local event or charity

If you are targeting local communities like a county or or small city then helping a local charity or funding or sponsoring an event can easily turn the tables on your side. Similarly adding a sponsored banner in an event which match your business profile or sponsoring the local rugby or baseball team can also help.

Starting a business is one of the decision which requires many merits and thinking, its not something which you can start by waking up next morning. It starts with a thorough business plan and ends up with a solid business idea and in between there are many things to go through specially when its only a single person operation. In such case you are the entrepreneur, a visionary, a marketer and a salesman. So lets go through some of the basics and resources which can help you getting on foot for your newly start-up company.

1) Business Plan:

First and foremost to any business idea is a precise and concrete business plan. Its not necessary to pound it with documentations at this stage, maybe a simple way is to make a “business model canvas” and this will help you identify your goals and what you want to accomplish.

See how to make a Business Model Canvas

2) Gather Financial Resources:

No matter how small you start you will need some form of capital either from your savings, parents or friends to get started. Its important to set aside a budget for the core tasks and do basic accounting so you have a figure in mind which will help you allocate a budget for different tasks in hand.

3) Look out for mentors or sources of reliable information:

You can easily find a mentor in your family friend running a business or even your college or university teacher can help you a great deal. You can also search on the internet to know more about your niche and industry and if you have any access to start-up incubators then that’s a great platform to start.

4) Set in Motion:

Now that you’ve done the basic homework its time to implement that idea of yours and set it in full motion. Time will be of utmost essence here so if you feel there are some tasks that you don’t feel comfortable with, then outsource it to some part time worker or hire someone if you have the resources. This way you can keep your concentration intact on the tasks in hand.

5) Marketing and Sales:

Start simple yet effective, design yourself a logo which blend the essence of your business, print business cards, banners, fliers and some promotional products if your budget allow. Spreading word through a personal or company blog is also an effective way of gathering a fan-base. You can also go for online marketing tools like google adwords, bing marketing solutions and don’t forget to tap into the social media sphere which can act as an essential tool in spreading brand awareness.

See how fuelmybrand help small business in getting affordable corporate identity and branding services

6) Grow:

Now is the time to figure out your job description, you need to ask yourself are you jack of all? If you are then probably you will keep running the way you are but if you like to rapidly grow then segment different business operations and hire workforce and resources who can best work in those capacities, this will free up some of your work load and you can focus on the business expansion plans of yours. After all its not the day job you’ve dreamed about so live and expand with the flow.

What’s cooking tonight, nothing? Oh, then lets head for the Bills Tex Mex which recently opened at Sheikh Zayed Road, Dubai ( UAE ). They serve fresh & flavorable Tex Mex cuisine and i hope you’ll love their Authentic American cuisine.

OK, enough introduction but we really loved our mouth watering month-long experience in designing a creative logo and cooking up a cool branding and menu card design for this upcoming business. So here’s something for a treat…

- It all started with a Logo, mixed with custom tailored fonts and served with a branded Mr.Tex (The chilli Mascot).

Bills Tex Mex Logo Design

- Next we stirred up the pan and came up with few vertical banners and shop signage

Shop signage design

Promotional Banner Design

- Alright, enough beating, now where’s the menu? Well, here goes the Dine-inn menu card design which was creatively made to present all the selections and specialized dishes.

dine-inn menu card design

In a hurry? No problemo because there’s a simple and refined quad-fold take-away menu card design as well. See the front and back!

Takeaway menu card design

takeaway menu other side

- And what about side-lines? No worries as Bills Tex Mex also serves Breakfast, so we completed a single page breakfast menu for them as shown below. Sorry but they don’t want us to disclose their secret recipes and prices yet

breakfast menu

Great, loved the overall experience, so how to send some of my friends and folks over there…? Just follow the map which we have custom designed from the location idea which Bills Tex-Mex have provided us, here it goes

Map Design

Thrilled about the whole process?

Planning to start your own restaurant or food outlet, kiosk?

Don’t worry because FuelmyBrand.com is here to make your design job as easy as pie!!

We came across one such logo design job for a bulb selling company named “Accende” which sell vintage carbon filament bulbs and historic lighting. Learning about such business was a real treat and offered us time to gossip about the 80′s and the way we use to live our lives back then. It was like i’ll trade all my tomorrows for one single yesterday and this is what this company is offering through a room in your house where you can treasure all those memories and feel the warmth and nostalgia of the past.

The design ideas were considered keeping in view this important aspect and the feel, warmth through colors and vintage look are all blended together in this simple yet nostalgic logo design.

We talked before about how your logo should be simple and versatile. Now it is ready to take over the world. A lot of effort was put into its design. A good concept was created and a lot of time was spent on it. Now what?

Now your designer will create your Brand Manual, a set of rules about the usage of your logo that will make sure it never loses its concept and message.

Everything in design has a reason to be. When you take a design work and slightly modify it, you may be making a huge mistake thus compromising the results you are looking for.

The Brand Manual is the guarantee that your message will be delivered correctly. Check out the OmanNet Brand Manual and the consistency it creates in the logo concept.

OmanNet Logo Guidelines from FuelmyBrand

FuelmyBrand can add Brand Guidelines to your package for $200. Ask us about it!

Your company just started and you have a pretty good business plan, a good partner and an awesome product to sell. Now you want to create your logo and use it on your website and business card. You want to love your logo the same way you love your business, so you want something epic, sophisticated, unique, beautiful, detailed and unforgettable.

Stop for a second and think about the logos of the most famous companies you know:

What do they have in common? They are extremely simple.
A simple logo is dynamic, can be used everywhere and in all types of media. And more importantly, it is long lasting. Your company will grow, improve and change but your logo can stay the same.
Bare that in mind.
